Mooretown vs Dresden
With a full roster that has been riddled by injury and illness of late, the team would face off against the Dresden Jr Kings.

Mooretown hoped to take it Dresden who had brought a short bench to face off against the Storm. To the contrary though, the first few minutes of the game displayed a lack of enthusiasm from our players. They seemed lacklustre in their determination and asleep at the wheel. The Kings were taking it to them playing most of the end in the Storm zone but as usual Shaw was there to keep them in the game. Although Mooretown would get a few chances of their own, the ringside judges would certainly give the round to Dresden.

The dismal play of the Storm would be Dresden's benefit in the second period. Shaw would be fed to the wolves in the period with the Kings scoring three goals with one even coming on the Dresden PK. The boys needed to wake up and smell the slushies if they had any chance of taking this game away from the opponent.

Although Shaw was doing his best he could, Dresden would bite once again to make it a 4-0 game. Mooretown was simply being outplayed, outwitted, and outlasted. The Storm would finally get on the board with a good rifle shot by Molson that was fumbled by the netminder and scooped up by Williams to cut the lead by three. Shortly thereafter, Coene would grab the puck and break in by himself and slide one gently past the goalie to turn the game into a 4-2 affair. It was however, too little too late, at this point to take game away from a more determined opponent.

It is without a doubt that the team faces a tough practice ahead to shake them out of their funk that dragged them in to the L column today.
