Struck by a Comet
The Storm would face the league leading West Lorne Comets in what would be their last game before the Chrismas break.

Mooretown would be in tough against this strong opponent down two players but would try and persevere regardless.

The Storm would get on the board first with credit going to Devon Oliveira who would score unassisted. Mooretown seemed to have control of the game playing most of the first half of the period in the Comet end and getting off some good scoring chances. West Lorne would tie the game with five minutes left as both teams continued to play well. The Storm would carry a power play into the second period but the Comets would kill it off to keep the game tied. Both goalies were making solid saves while the Mooretown forwards were still making some plays resulting in quality chances. The Storm would go on the PK but West Lorne would even it up to 4 on 4 which would translate into a PP for Mooretown but it wasn't until the players were out of the box that the opponent would score two to take the lead and make it a 3-1 game. The third period would see a Comet ejected from the game taking his fourth penalty adding in some unsportsmanlike behaviour in the box. Mooretown hoped to capitalize on the man advantage but instead West Lorne would score short handed. The Storm would however answer back courtesy of Oliveira who would tap in a Molson assist to cut the lead to two. Unfortunately though, time would be Mooretown's nemesis and the opponent would take the game 4-2.

The boys will indulge in Christmas festivities before hitting the ice at the John Henry Tournament in Strathroy next weekend.
