Storm vs The Bullets
On Sunday, November 4, 2012 the Mooretown Storm Novice Rep team took on the Southwest Bullets on their home ice.  The first period saw a nice goal from defenceman Owen MacDonald assisted by Kelby Derrick and Masen Flett.  Before the period ended Kelby took control of the puck with a goal assisted by linesmen Masen Flett and Lachlan Stewart.

The second period started with a goal from the Bullets.  This brought out the intensity of the Storm as they passed the puck around soon seeing Matty Anderson getting a puck from Konnor Adams and scoring the goal.  Shortly thereafter the Bullet’s goalie hardly stood a chance as Lachlan raised the puck top shelf and scored our fourth goal.   Joey Edlington scored the next goal with an assist from Zach Cottrelle.  The Storm’s fifth goal was made when Graham Armstrong made a great pass over to Matty who raised it over the goalie’s pads – lets hope his dad’s aim is as good at deer camp!  Caleb Lafromboise saw a bit of action during the second period and made several nice saves.  Masen Flett was the next Storm player to light up the posts assisted again by Kelby.  Not too long after we received a bodychecking penalty by Lachlan.  Playing short, Caleb continued to make some nice saves.  Following up Lach’s penalty was a tripping penalty by Joey.  Masen, undeterred, scored a shorthanded goal bringing the score to 8 – 2.  The Bullets answered that goal with one of their own but Joey Edlington finished off the game by scoring our last goal of the game bringing us to a 9 – 3 final.

Great game boys – GO STORM GO!!
